Dior onthulde haar nieuwste haute couture-collectie van Maria Graziai Chiuri, geïnspireerd door Josephine Bakker.
Door een overwegend zwart-wit kleurenpalet - afgezien van wat zilver en gedempt groen - benadrukt de lente 2023-lijn de vakmanschap van het atelier van het huis door middel van constructie: blazers met scherpe schoudervullingen, korsetjurken, cinched overjassen. Zoals altijd doordrenkt Chiuri de collectie met vleugjes vrouwelijkheid, uitgedrukt door bloemenapplicaties op een transparante top, pofmouwen op een sierlijk vest en speelse kwastjes die aan de zoom van een volle rok.
Een lange zwarte zijden cady-jurk en een paarse fluwelen jurk doen denken aan Baker's stijl en het tijdperk waarin ze leefde, net als de glamour op alle modellen. Het huis bracht ook een eerbetoon aan de artiest met de set, met kunstwerken gemaakt door Mickalene Thomas met afbeeldingen van Baker.
Veel beroemdheden - inclusief merkambassadeur Yara Shahidi, Anya-Taylor Joy En Jisoo van Blackpink - waren aanwezig. De met sterren gevulde voorste rij is ook inbegrepen
