Dior afslørede sin seneste haute couture kollektion af Maria Graziai Chiuri, inspireret af Josephine Baker.
Gennem en for det meste sort/hvid farvepalet - bortset fra noget sølv og dæmpet grønt - fremhæver foråret 2023-linjen håndværk af husets atelier gennem konstruktion: blazere med skarpe skulderpuder, korseterede kjoler, cinched overfrakker. Som altid gennemsyrer Chiuri kollektionen med strejf af femininitet, udtrykt gennem blomsterapplikationer på en gennemsigtig top, pustede ærmer på en lækker cardigan og legende kvaster, der svinger forneden af en hel nederdel.
En lang sort silke cady kjole og en lilla fløjlskjole føles minder om Bakers stil og den æra, hun levede i, og det samme gjorde glam på alle modellerne. Huset hyldede også kunstneren med sættet, som indeholdt kunstværker skabt af Mickalene Thomas ved hjælp af billeder af Baker.
Mange berømtheder - herunder brand ambassadør Yara Shahidi, Anya-Taylor Joy og Jisoo af Blackpink - var til stede. Den stjernefyldte forreste række medfølger også Rachel Zegler, Kirsten Dunst og Elizabeth Debicki.
